Food and Drink
Our menus are built around the seasons, supporting local and British produce, using carefully sourced grass-fed meat (including free range chicken), sustainable fish and with a renewed focus on plant-based dishes, all made fresh daily from a rotating menu. We have a team of five chefs but a small kitchen; at the busiest times we serve as quickly as possible but cannot perform miracles and will not sacrifice quality for speed.
Booking a Table
You can book a table online or by phone in any of three zones (click Book A Table, select table size and then select the zone from the drop down): the heated and now semi open Marquee, the (uncovered, unheated) Front Terrace Area or Indoors/the pub. The online system allows for bookings of up to 13 people but Rule of Six applies inside until 19th July. Larger tables of 14+ plus must be booked over the phone and will be offered a bespoke menu.
You can move or an existing booking from one area to an another or amend the table size (subject to availability in that area) by clicking on the confirmation email. We aim to allocate a minimum of two hours for tables of 4+ persons but feel free to request longer if you think it will be required. Reservations will be held for a maximum of 15 minutes, so please stay in touch if you’re running late. No shows are an increasing problem in the industry and we may not accept future bookings if you fail to show up without warning.
Please note the lawns are now open for drinks only and we have two covered areas.
- Please do not make online bookings for drinks. There is ample space so no need to book. If you would like to hold a large drinks party call us to make arrangements.
- The marquee clubhouse will be hosting TV sport this summer so please tell us if you are looking for or strictly trying to avoid a sporty atmosphere!
- Dogs are welcome.
- I am sorry we are not offering our two course lunch, sandwiches or some of our hot bar snacks at this time.

Diners should always advise your server of any special dietary requirements, including intolerances and allergies. Where possible, our trained staff will advise you on alternative dishes. However, while we do our best to reduce the risk of cross-contamination in our restaurant, we CANNOT guarantee that any of our dishes are free from allergens and therefore cannot accept any liability in this respect. Guests with severe allergies are advised to assess their own level of risk and consume dishes at their own risk.
