Food and Drink
Our menus are built around the seasons, supporting local and British produce, using carefully sourced grass-fed meat (including free range chicken), sustainable fish and with a renewed focus on plant-based dishes, all made fresh daily from a rotating menu. We have a team of five chefs but a small kitchen; at the busiest times we serve as quickly as possible but cannot perform miracles and will not sacrifice quality for speed.
Booking a Table
You can now book a table online in our terrace marquee area or on our (uncovered) front terrace area (we are annexing part of our car park) for the period 12th April to 16th May for up to 6 people. Please be sure to select ‘marquee’ or ‘front terrace’ once you’ve chosen your date & time. If you wish to book for two households that exceeds 6 guests or you wish to book a table for drinks click ‘email query’ or call us. You can move an existing booking from one area to an another subject to availability in that area but if you book outside and it starts raining and we don’t have space in the marquee you will have to make do! We aim to allocate a minimum of two hours for larger dining tables and reservations will be held for a maximum of 15 minutes, so please stay in touch if you’re running late. No shows are an increasing problem in the industry and we may not accept future bookings if you fail to show up without warning. You can also make reservations for the period 17th May onwards. Select ‘Inside’ and let us know nearer the time if you’d prefer be in the marquee or outside, as an alternative. As soon as our summer floor plan is available we will open up the marquee and garden sections for online bookings. Please note the lawned areas will remain closed until 17th May due to reseeding.
Our New Menus
Diners should always advise your server of any special dietary requirements, including intolerances and allergies. Where possible, our trained staff will advise you on alternative dishes. However, while we do our best to reduce the risk of cross-contamination in our restaurant, we CANNOT guarantee that any of our dishes are free from allergens and therefore cannot accept any liability in this respect. Guests with severe allergies are advised to assess their own level of risk and consume dishes at their own risk.
