A message to our customers – Monday 2nd November
Locking down and opening up for takeaway.
With the latest announcement from our masterful government we will be closing our doors at 10pm this Wednesday 4th November. Both Tuesday and Wednesday of this week are likely to be extremely busy and at the time of writing both evenings are fully booked (though there may be cancellations so please feel free to call us just in case). We have completed the construction of our winter ski lodge marquee (just in time huh) which is draft-free, heated and lit and has lots of space for drinkers. We will officially launch it with all its winter chic and creature comforts when we reopen in December but for now come and have a last drink with us.
Then on Thursday we will pause trading for one day while we reconfigure for takeaway food. On Friday 6th November our delivery and collection takeaway menu will launch at 5pm, both online (go to www.risingsunmilland.com) and via phone 01428 741 347. Takeaway will be available Tuesday to Sunday nights and Sunday lunch each week until we reopen the pub.
The menu will change this week so please order from the menu here on website on the day you wish to eat.
As things stand we are hopeful that everything will return to normality after 2nd December, so we are taking Table Bookings via Quandoo for 3rd December onwards.

Opening Times For Take Aways
During Second Lockdown
I am not prone to gushing emails, but hell, last night’s date night dinner was top drawer. Can’t quite see how you’re making any money on it – and would have happily paid more for delicious beef – really well cooked. Dauphinoise so good my wife wants you guys to make trays of the stuff for the freezer. Your pepper sauce was the crowning glory in my humble opinion. Rocket salad is the Riser tour de force – what can I say – the tomatoes (I can live without!) and the ’shroom – earthy and delicious. Drinkable Malbec, criminally rich pudding – it was all completely delicious, made very easy and exceptional value.
