Stylishly refurbished, spacious and light and with vast gardens and terraces adorned with teak tables and parasols, this is a pub for all seasons and all occasions.
Booking a Table
You can book a table online or by phone in any of three zones (click Book A Table, select table size and then select the zone from the drop down): the heated and now semi open Marquee, the (uncovered, unheated) Front Terrace Area or Indoors (tables available from 17th May). The online system allows for bookings of up to 12 people but tables of this size are only valid inside the pub if made up of two households. For groups made up of more than two households you are limited to the Rule of Six indoors until the reopening up (date TBC). From 17th May Rule of Six ends in our marquee and on our front terrace so we welcome larger bookings in these areas. For reservations of 13-30 people in the marquee or front terrace please call to discuss your requirements. We are also taking phone enquiries for larger reservations (6+) inside the pub for the period after full opening up (TBC).
You can move an existing booking from one area to an another subject to availability in that area. We aim to allocate a minimum of two hours for larger dining tables and reservations will be held for a maximum of 15 minutes, so please stay in touch if you’re running late. No shows are an increasing problem in the industry and we may not accept future bookings if you fail to show up without warning. Please note the lawns will open up from Monday June 14th.
Please do not make online bookings for drinks. Either turn up or call in advance. We may not honour an online booking for drinks.
The marquee clubhouse will be hosting TV sport this summer so please tell us if you are looking for or strictly trying to avoid a sporty atmosphere!

I have been meaning to reach out ever since New Years Day to congratulate you on the STUNNING food delivered on New Years Eve. I struggle to find the words that might serve justice to the bone marrow gravy – absolutely the best I’ve ever had. The potatoes were outstanding – what on earth do you do to them to give them that depth of flavour? The beef was cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth. Whilst we snaffled it all up in no time at all, I thought the portions were super-generous.
We gluttonously ordered four portions hoping our two teenage children wouldn’t be able to finish theirs, leaving more for us, but unfortunately, they cleared their plates informing us it was the best meal they’ve ever eaten.
Thank you for making a potentially disastrous NYE really enjoyable – we will definitely be ordering again soon.

I am not prone to gushing emails, but hell, last night’s date night dinner was top drawer. Can’t quite see how you’re making any money on it – and would have happily paid more for delicious beef – really well cooked. Dauphinoise so good my wife wants you guys to make trays of the stuff for the freezer. Your pepper sauce was the crowning glory in my humble opinion. Rocket salad is the Riser tour de force – what can I say – the tomatoes (I can live without!) and the ’shroom – earthy and delicious. Drinkable Malbec, criminally rich pudding – it was all completely delicious, made very easy and exceptional value.
